Our Holiday activities are getting underway with gusto! We have Christmas music playing on the CD player, we dressed the cabin with little white lights and set out all our cabin Christmas decorations. We hung our stockings by the chimney with care!
Tomorrow we are planning to go cut down our own Christmas tree, as long as the roads are cleared.
Wayne, our maintenance manager, has gone through the development with his tractor plow and our roads are almost down to the pavement, but we have no idea what the resst of the roads are like throughout Boone. But for today, it doesn’t matter. Today is Gingerbread House day!
It has been a family activity. I packed the gingerbread house mold that I have had for years. I was also careful to plan for this, and brought (or bought) all the candy decorations we would need to make a complete and ‘perfect’ gingerbread house. Everyone participated, and our house came out very unique with everyone’s personal touch. 🙂
It was a great family wintertime activity for a great snow covered day in the mountains!
